This week marks 8^th anniversary of FGS Recruitment. It’s been quite a journey since our founders, Billy and Michelle, started FGS from their kitchen table. Starting a business at the start of a recession may have seemed crazy to some but they survived and have come out of the other side.

Although it is the 8^th anniversary of business, it was just Billy and Michelle until they look the leap to rent office space and hire their first four employees in 2013.

Our 8^th year of business has seen some amazing milestones so don’t mind us whilst we celebrate our biggest year yet:

New branding and website

The hire of our Marketing Manager in July last year prompted a complete rebrand and website which launched in January. In a very saturated industry it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd and we therefore wanted a website that did just this. Our brief was the perfect blend of professional and fun, just like us! It's just been nominated for an award too so we're not the only ones who think it's good!

New CRM

January also saw the team integrate our new CRM system into the business. After many discussions and demonstrations with various CRM providers, we made the decision to go with Bullhorn. Our CRM integrates with our new website enabling a completely seamless integration allowing for faster and more efficient processes for our clients and candidates.

New benefits

As part of our mission to attract the best new recruitment talent to our business, the management team are always on the lookout for ways to improve the benefits package. With this in mind we have recently added Perkbox, an online portal providing access to more than a hundred gobsmacking rewards, ranging from free food in major UK restaurants, to movie tickets, to phone insurance and more.

Purchased office space

No longer do we rent our office space, we are now the proud owners of it. A huge achievement in our eyes.

Nominated for 1^st award

Just this month we have found out that we are nominated for our first award. Our website has been nominated for ‘Best Responsive Website’ at the Kent Digital Awards.

We have some really exciting things in the pipeline for FGS this year with the launch of our FGS Talent Academy Programme and the opening of our London office. Our 9^th year of business is set to be really busy and really exciting.
